Our WHC clergy feel incredibly blessed when they have the opportunity to sign a ketubah (Jewish marriage contract) and stand under a chuppah (wedding canopy) with a loving couple as they exchange rings and enter into the covenant of marriage.
Whether you have a life-long connection with one of our rabbis or your wedding will be the starting point for you in our community, the rabbi or cantor who marries you will guide you toward your wedding day.
So during these hours leading up to your wedding, our trained and experienced clergy will guide you and your partner toward an even deeper relationship, one with love, honesty, and trust at its core.
You will also explore the traditional Jewish wedding ceremony and its rituals with our clergy, and they will help you design a meaningful, personal ceremony.
Washington Hebrew Congregation is an inclusive community, and our clergy rejoice in working with Jewish, interfaith, and LGBTQ+ couples.
Our facilities at Temple and the Julia Bindeman Suburban Center provide a beautiful canvas for which you can create the perfect celebration for your marriage.
