Fire & Ice
A Pre-Hanukkah Celebration

Friday, December 13 at Temple

Hanukkah is late this year (it starts December 25) so we’re celebrating a bit early before many folks head away on Winter Break! Join us for music, activities, a wonderful Shabbat service, latkes, and more!

Come dressed as you normally would for Shabbat, OR if you want to be a bit more festive, wear an ugly Hanukkah sweater, a favorite pair of Hanukkah pajamas, dress in red to bring the heat, or blue if you want to play it cool.

5:00 pm – Tot Shabbat Hanukkah & Family Dinner
6:00 pm – Shabbat Hanukkah Pre-neg
6:30 pm – Shabbat Hanukkah Service
7:45 pm – Celebratory Fire & Ice Hanukkah Celebration

Special thanks to Emily and Marc Gerson who, through the Susan and Stephen Porter Memorial Fund, are sponsoring our Fire & Ice Hanukkah Celebration.

Hanukkah is a yearly reminder of the Maccabees’ victory and the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem. As we celebrate this holiday, we also look for ways to recommit ourselves to the values of Judaism.
