Women of Washington Hebrew Congregation Literary Club kicks off the 2024-25 season with a fantastic opportunity to learn some new plant-forward recipes that celebrate modern Jewish cuisine.
This event will include a live cooking demonstration!
For those who want to connect with Jewish culinary history while following a plant-based diet, Nosh offers more than 80 recipes that can be served at Shabbat, holidays, and even better, every day.
Food is a central part of Jewish culture, and those who don’t connect with the foods of yesterday may feel as though a part of their heritage is missing. Nosh is the cookbook for the modern Jewish kitchen, drawing inspiration from history through a 21st-century lens.
Micah Siva is a Jewish, Canadian-born Registered Dietitian and chef living in Northern California, specializing in recipe writing, food photography, and storytelling through food.
When not creating recipes in the kitchen, she is an avid runner, traveler (50+ countries and counting!), dog mom, black coffee drinker, and always on the hunt for the perfect carrot cake.
