Transitions can be challenging, for both adults and children. At the WHC Early Childhood Centers (ECC), we consciously support you and your children as you transition into our program, and again as those children move on to kindergarten. We know that this next step comes with excitement, nervousness, and a lot of questions!

With this in mind, we invite parents, caretakers, and guardians to join us for a panel discussion on Transitioning to Kindergarten, where we’ll discuss:

• How do you best emotionally support your child through this change?
• Is your child prepared for the academic changes in kindergarten?
• What should you be looking for as you consider kindergarten programs?

Our panel of experts will address your questions and more, helping prepare you (and your children) for the move to kindergarten. This event, hosted by the RJW ECC, hosts panelists from Growing Minds Therapy, MCPS, Lynn Klaiman Education, and the McLean School.

The RJW ECC will provide childcare for children 2 years and older during this event. Children ages 4 & 5 will be invited to join the Religious School Pre-K class, while those younger will be cared for by our RJW educators. Childcare is free for ECC families and Temple Members and is $20 per child for non-members.
