The Power of Relationships
Organizing in the framework of our Faith Traditions
Please join us for three training sessions led by Action In Montgomery organizers.
As we build relationships within and across our faith communities, we will learn how to use the power of these relationships to bring our world closer to our vision of “the world as it should be.”
- SESSION 1: Sunday, Oct. 2, 12:45–3:00 pm at Harvest Intercontinental Church in Olney. This first session will be focused on setting the stage for how relational organizing fits into our faith traditions and the values of our faiths, along with getting to know one another, and training around building power to create change. This training includes lunch. Anyone who wants to can also come to their Sunday morning service at 10:45 am.
- SESSION 2: Thursday, Oct. 13, 7:30–9:00 pm, Zoom. The second session will focus on the power of storytelling to create change.
- SESSION 3: Thursday, Oct. 27, 7:30–9:00 pm. The final session will focus on how organizing works.
Participation in all three sessions is encouraged but not required.
This training is being held as part of WHC’s SEA (Study-Engage-Act) Change Initiative.
