Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month (JDAIM) is a unified effort among Jewish organizations worldwide to raise awareness and foster acceptance and inclusion of people with disabilities and mental health conditions and those who love them. An ASL interpreter will be present for tonight’s service, and we will have large-print prayer books available. Extra amplification will also be provided this evening.
JDAIM is a call to action for all of us to act in accordance with our Jewish values, honoring the gifts and strengths that we each possess.
At 6:00 pm and again after the service: Have something to eat (to tide you over or as your dinner), grab a drink from our full bar, and connect with your community.
Kids are always welcome, and they’ll be able to eat before (and after) the service.
6:30 pm – Our Shabbat service begins.
After the service – Stay for dessert, or more food and drinks!
Special thanks to our musicians who add so much to the service. We wouldn’t have them without the support of the Irene & Abe Pollin Music Program Initiative.
We will be recognizing September birthdays for blessings at this service. If you’d like your name included, please fill out this form.
You may also attend services at Temple this evening.
This week’s featured menu items include: (GF – Gluten-free, V – Vegetarian, VG – Vegan)
These items catered by Sunflower Bakery. Sunflower Bakery enables pathways to employment for young adults and teens with learning differences through pre-employment exposure and workforce development training in Pastry Arts, Hospitality and related industries.
If you would like to sponsor a portion of a future Shabbat@WHC to celebrate a milestone or honor a memory, please contact Lindsay Feldman, Executive Director, at lfeldman@whctemple.org.
