Home > Events > Learn > Deep Dive: Gender, Sexuality, & Judaism
In the American zeitgeist, sexuality and religion always seem to be at odds. Progressive Judaism provides an authentic and countercultural understanding of how religion can support and sanctify differing gender identities and sexualities. Join Rabbi Eliana Fischel and Cantor Suzanne Hamstra for this four-week course in which we will look closely at the creation of gender, feminism, the sanctification of same-sex marriage, and bodily autonomy. Come learn about the sacredness of our bodies, our identities, and our relationships.
This class runs for four Tuesdays in January, starting on January 10.
