As you know, within the next eighteen to twenty-four months, our 6th graders will become B’nei Mitzvah. On Sunday, April 28 at Temple and JBSC from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm, please join us for a program for 6th-grade students and their parents or guardians (please register for the program where your child attends Religious School).
This program will help families focus on the meaning of becoming B’nei Mitzvah with a large focus on Mitzvah Projects. We will also share how the clergy, Religious School, and tutors help prepare each child for their service; create a special yad, which each student will use at his, her, or their Bar, Bat, or B’nei Mitzvah service; learn the cantillations for Torah and Haftarah; and hear from post-B’nei Mitzvah students who will share their experiences with you. You will also learn about the terrific Seventh Grade program, which is structured very differently from Grades 4 through 6.
If you have a 6th grader not enrolled in our Religious School, we invite you and your child to join us! Simply RSVP for the program most convenient for you.
