This year’s Congregational Conversations is unlike any other (but what else can we expect, it is, after all, 2020!).
Committed to real, deep and impactful connection through conversation, we are partnered with other congregations to address Racism.
For December, we welcome back Georgetown professors Terrence Johnson and Jacques Berlinerblau, authors of the forthcoming book Blacks and Jews in America: An Introduction to Dialogue to continue discussing Black-Jewish relations.
In November they talked about the history – this month they will talk about TODAY. What are the barriers to our partnership? What –if anything at all – are the natural areas of connection? How do we come together even as our communities can seem so different?
Then, continue the conversation with two upcoming discussion sessions:
Wednesday, December 9 at 7:00 pm we will gather (on Zoom) as a WHC community to continue the conversation of the themes discussed in December’s keynote lecture.
We will also come together with our partners in the Black faith community to explore, learn, talk, and listen on Wednesday, December 16 at 7:00 pm.
