The Amram Scholar Series is delighted to partner with the Jewish Book Council for a timely discussion between Jeffrey Rosen and Dahlia Lithwick about Rosen’s new book, Conversations with RBG: Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Life, Love, Liberty, and Law.

In Conversations with RBG, Jeffrey Rosen presents a unique portrait of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg that draws on twenty years of conversations he had with the late Justice, which began in the 1990s and continued through the Trump era. They discussed the future of Roe v. Wade, her most significant dissents, and the future of the Supreme Court itself. These frank exchanges illuminated the steely determination, self-mastery, and wit that have inspired Americans of all ages to embrace the woman known to all as “The Notorious RBG.”

President and CEO of the National Constitution Center, Jeffrey Rosen is also a law professor at The George Washington University, and a contributing editor for The Atlantic. He was previously the legal affairs editor of The New Republic and a staff writer for The New Yorker and is the author of several nonfiction books, including the recent Louis D. Brandeis and William Howard Taft.

Dahlia Lithwick is a senior editor at Slate, and in that capacity, has been writing their “Supreme Court Dispatches” and “Jurisprudence” columns since 1999. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Harper’s, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, The New Republic, and Commentary, among other places. She is the host of “Amicus,” Slate’s award-winning biweekly podcast about the law and the Supreme Court, and from 2008 until 2011 she was the legal columnist for Newsweek.
