Antisemitism is rising not just in the U.S., but around the world. German Ambassador to the United States Emily Haber will offer remarks during the service on this issue, and how her country is attacking the problem.

Haber has been Ambassador to the U.S. since June 2018. Prior to her transfer to Washington, DC, she served in various leadership functions at the German Foreign Office in Berlin. In 2009, she was appointed Political Director and, in 2011, State Secretary, the first woman to hold either post. Thereafter, she was deployed to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, serving as State Secretary in charge of homeland security and migration policy from 2014 until 2018.

At 6:00 pm and again after the service: Have something to eat (to tide you over or as your dinner), a drink (we’ll have German beers, German wine, and non-alcoholic drinks available), and connect with your community.

Kids are always welcome, and they’ll be able to eat before (and after) the service, play Connect 4, Jenga, and cornhole games, create at a coloring table, and do other arts & crafts activities.

6:30 pm – Our Shabbat service begins. This service will also be available via livestream.
