This Friday, two innovative programs for Jewish adults in their 20s and 30s will be combining for the first time for an event called Shabbat Squared.
2239’s Metro Minyan and Sixth & I’s 6th in the City participatory service will merge with the intention of demonstrating the diverse Shabbat options available to young professionals in D.C. Elements of each service, like Metro Minyan’s “Shot of Torah” and 6th in the City’s musician Rick Recht, will give participants a sample of a regular Shabbat at these monthly services.
The end goal? To create a more active and engaged community for Jewish young adults.
