Please note that as of August 28, 2021, our Early Torah begins 30 minutes earlier. The reading session starts at 8:00 am and the clergy-led discussion begins at 8:30 am. WHC’s Saturday Morning Worship also begins 30 minutes earlier, at 10:00 am.

Every Shabbat morning, we begin the day with an informal group at Temple to study parashat hashavua, the weekly Torah portion, in English. Led by one of the clergy, we analyze, question, and reflect on Judaism’s central text. All are welcome — just occasionally or every week — and absolutely no background knowledge or familiarity with Hebrew is necessary!
Join us at 8:00 am to read this week’s portion together as a group.
Our clergy-led discussion will begin at 8:30 am.
If you plan to attend in person, please click here to learn about WHC’s health and safety protocols and plan to arrive a few minutes early.
For those who would like to continue to join us virtually, we invite you to join us via Zoom.
To be added to our weekly email list for Early Torah Study and receive each week’s portion, please email Layne Weiss.
