In a year during which conflict in the Middle East has cast doubt on co-existence efforts, thousands of Muslims and Jews came together at over 200 events spanning over 30 countries during the 7th Annual Weekend of Twinning, sponsored by the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding.
This past Sunday, Washington Hebrew Congregation hosted 60 rabbis and imams from the D.C. region at a summit that featured frank discussion about the Middle East conflict and plans to build connections and strengthen ties between area synagogues and mosques.
